We gladly give you personal advice on how to best frame your piece of art in the most appropriate manner, whether it be a painting on canvas/panel, or a print, drawing or watercolour on paper. Additional services:

We provide valuations for insurance, probate or inheritance tax.
We advise private buyers with their purchases, either at auction or from private collections and we acquire paintings directly or on the basis of consignment. Advice can include topics such as the condition of the painting, the value and the importance of it, the art-historical meaning and any other relevant matter.
We offer to work with collectors to help balance out their collections and by pointing out possible voids or duplications.
We are happy to offer free and non-committal advice on all restoration requests. Douwes Fine Art maintains a fully equipped restoration department where we undertake professional restoration for museums, private collectors and of our own stock paintings.
We organise exhibitions in our Gallery or elsewhere, focussing on a specific theme or period in painting.
